Project Recovery’s Adult Residential Treatment Services (ARTS) is offered in a 12-bed facility for men and women in downtown Santa Barbara, operated by the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA). The program provides 24-hour supervised withdrawal from drugs and alcohol, followed by residential treatment for up to 90 days. Residential treatment includes up to five daily treatment groups, individual counseling, and attendance at 12-Step meetings and recovery community activities.

Clients receive a comprehensive assessment to help them determine the type of treatment plan that’s right for them. Clients assessed as having an opioid use disorder who are interested in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) will be referred to a partnering clinic or physician for further assessment. They can then enroll in ARTs to help support their recovery while receiving MAT or while withdrawing from other substances.

Other services:

All clients receive case management to link them to resources such as mental health treatment, housing, monetary assistance, and medical care, and to develop an aftercare plan following residential treatment.

Payments Accepted: Services are offered on a sliding-fee scale or can be billed through insurance (CenCal/Medi-Cal or private insurance, in network).
